Cullet Print 1

A limited edition print documenting the handblown glass vessels created for Open House Melbourne 2026. One of an edition of 20. The vessels were made for an exclusive collaboration between Pieces of Eight and Foolscap the interior design practice behind our flagship Russell Place gallery. The project transforms ‘cullet’ (reclaimed raw glass offcuts from the glassblowing process) into sculptural art. Masterfully suspended within clear, handblown glass by artist Hamish Donaldson, these vibrant offcuts evoke the fractured elegance of stained glass. As the molten inclusions settle naturally during the glassblowing process, no two vessels are alike. Adèle Winteridge describes the detail held inside each piece as almost like a landscape, the vessels, for her, reading as "caves of wonderment". Photographed close, that quality is what these prints hold: where each vessel is unrepeatable, the prints let the work live on in another form. Each print is supplied unframed, ready to frame.
