Georg Jensen Sterling Silver and Ebony Hand Mirror No. 224 by Harald Nielsen, Denmark c. 1930

This elegant antique Danish Art Deco hand mirror, Model No. 224, was designed by Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen and produced in Denmark circa 1930. Expertly crafted in sterling silver with ebony inlays and an original beveled mirror plate, the design reflects the refined geometric aesthetic that distinguished Nielsen’s work during the transition from Art Nouveau to early Scandinavian Modern. Georg Jensen (1866–1935) Georg Jensen was one of Denmark’s most influential silversmiths and designers. Harald Nielsen (1892–1977) Harald Nielsen was one of Georg Jensen’s most important designers and his brother-in-law, joining the Georg Jensen workshop in 1909.
