Phasemation LT-1000 Line Transformer
Two decades into building transformer-based audio products, Phasemation applied that expertise to a problem every system builder eventually hits: preamps that sound best near full volume but have to be run near minimum in a home environment, and source components that only offer XLR or only RCA when the rest of the system needs the other. The LT-1000 is a passive line transformer that sits between preamp and power amp (or between any two components), offering five gain settings (+6, 0, –6, –12dB, and mute) via a purpose-designed selector knob, along with simultaneous balanced and unbalanced input/output so mismatched gear can talk to each other directly. The transformer uses a custom 0.1mm super-malloy core and PC-TripleC winding wire, housed in a compact, shielded, vibration-damped chassis for close to mono-block channel separation (100dB).
