Sculptural 18th century Italian gilded fragment base with fossil coral and adorned with gold leaf shells. The gilded fragment base was originally part of an altar candlestick in a historical Italian church. It is mounted with the fossil coral and adorned with the coordinating gilded shells to look as though it evolved together over time. The elements have been joined together to create an organic and historic, sculptural work of art. Size: 16" high x 12" wide x 9.5" deep
