Klover – an In-person Masterclass at Janome HQ, October 22nd

This is an in-person workshop held at Janome UK HQ. The workshop consists of a one-hour ‘Get Ready!’ session via zoom a month before the workshop to discuss the pattern, colour, templates and what prep you can do, followed by a full day at Janome UK HQ, in their purpose-built training facility in Stockport. The ‘Get Ready!’ session will be recorded for you to watch again. Times and Location (Note the two different meeting times and dates): Get Ready! – Monday, September 14th, 6-7pm (via zoom) Workshop – Thursday, October 22nd, 10am-4pm (Janome UK HQ, Unit 1 Southside, Bredbury, Stockport SK6 2SP) Learning objectives: In this block-based workshop we’ll be playing with my latest design, the Klover block. With thorough step-by-step instructions, lots of colour play and in-depth demos this block will enhance your skills, especially your curved piecing. The block can be made using the PSS custom acrylic templates* or the paper templates included with this pattern. Included: •One hour prep session (via zoom) •In-person workshop •Lunch* •PDF paper templates for you to print •PDF PDF of the Klover pattern (28” block) •The recording of the prep session Supplies list: •Quality fine sewing thread (40 or 50wt) in neutral or to match your project •Cutting mat •Rotary cutter •Long gridded ruler •Pins •Seam ripper •Hera Marker or other non-permanent marker •Access to a printer (for the paper templates) OR my Acrylic templates* Level: Suitable for intermediate to advance quilters. No previous curve experience is required but general quilting knowledge is assumed (how to use a rotary cutter, sew with an accurate seam allowance etc) and an affection for precision will surely help. * we’ll be using the Complete DP set as well as the Oval and Long Oval Drunkard’s Path sets for this class. Cancellation and refund policy for Janome Masterclasses: Janome Masterclass payments are non-refundable. If an individual wishes to cancel a Masterclass and written cancellation notice is received at least 28 days before the start date a refund of 25% will be made. Masterclasses at Janome have a minimum required attendance level. If insufficient bookings are received, Janome reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Masterclass. If Janome cancels a Masterclass, Janome shall endeavour to provide at least one week’s notice. If a transfer is not available, the full cost will be refunded. Janome cannot be held liable for any losses arising from such a cancellation *The Complete and the Multiple Drunkard’s Path sets are used for this design. **Refreshments and a light buffet lunch with a vegetarian option, will be available.Unfortunately, special dietary requirements are not catered for. Should you wish please bring your own lunch which can be refrigerated on arrival.
