Random Source Jurgen Haible TAU PHASER MK2 The Random Source Jurgen Haible TAU PHASER MK2 is an updated Eurorack implementation of Jürgen Haible’s distinctive redesign of the rare Tau “The Pipe” phaser. Built around a fully analog signal path, the module uses an unusually complex multi-stage phase-shifting network to produce dense, animated filtering and resonant movement that extends far beyond the sound of a conventional phaser. The circuit can produce everything from subtle spectral animation and wide swirling modulation to deep hollow resonances, metallic textures and intense feedback effects. An internal LFO provides immediate modulation, while additional CV inputs allow external LFOs, envelopes, sequencers and other modulation sources to control the phasing movement. Two audio inputs with independent level control make it possible to process and combine multiple sources through the phaser. The expanded voltage-control options make the TAU PHASER MK2 particularly suitable for evolving drones, pads, synthesizer processing, experimental effects and complex modulation patches.
