The desk has a mahogany finish to it, but I think the wood is actually teak. It's made of a combination of wood veneer and solid wood, with the drawer fronts having an attractive book matched veneer which gives it an attractive pattern to the wood grain. Above the drawers is a handy pull out stationary tray. Inside the top drawer is a makers badge for Orchard & Ind Ltd of Gloucester. In good vintage condition, sturdy and fully functional. The top has some scratches and areas of wear to the varnished finish which makes these areas more matt than others. There's no key but the drawers are unlocked. The carved runner rail on the top drawer has worn away a bit with use which means you have to lift the drawer slightly to slot it in, but it's perfectly useable. Dimensions: H 76 x W 122 x D 69 cm. Kneehole dimensions: W 74 x H 64 cm.
