LAKE TOYA I SAPPHIRE
LAKE TOYA is set with a 1.1ct Australian sapphire, sourced from Central Queensland and cut in New South Wales. Measuring 7.1mm × 5.2mm, the oval sapphire shifts between luminous green and aquamarine, with flashes of chartreuse appearing as the stone moves. Two natural white pear cut diamonds flank the sapphire in a refined trilogy setting. Their tapered forms draw the eye towards the centre stone. An open gallery beneath the setting gives the ring an elegant side profile and the considered structure of fine jewellery. The 18K yellow gold band features fine hand engraving with a flowing Art Deco influence. Australian sapphires are prized for their earthy colour, individual character and strength. Their durability makes them well suited to rings worn every day. This piece takes its name from Lake Tōya in Hokkaido, Japan, whose blue-green waters echo the shifting colour of the sapphire. Designed by Christopher Bril for Corky Saint Clair. Hand made in Melbourne.
