Herringbone Block
Herringbone Pattern Damascus Blocks Two of the sides feature a clean, repeating chevron like pattern that is what we call Herringbone. The other two sides feature a more wavy single chevron like pattern. The result is a structured, geometric appearance with rows of V-shaped lines running across the face of the block. Unlike more organic patterns, Herringbone offers a precise and uniform look that works especially well for projects where symmetry and strong visual direction are important. Machining, carving, or contouring the material can expose additional layers and add depth to the finished pattern. These blocks are available in either stainless or carbon Damascus: Stainless Damascus Made from approximately 200 layers of AEB-L and 302 stainless steel Offers improved corrosion resistance and lower maintenance Produces a clean, defined contrast when properly finished and etched Well suited for knife components, machined parts, jewelry, display pieces, and other high-end projects Carbon Damascus Made from approximately 200 layers of 1075 carbon steel and nickel Produces a bold, high-contrast pattern when etched Offers a more traditional Damascus appearance Requires regular oiling and care to help prevent rust The final appearance may vary depending on the orientation of the cut and how the material is machined. Each block is forged in-house by Vegas Forge and supplied oversized for final machining and finishing. FOR CUSTOM SIZES CONTACT US
