Used Coffee Sample Roaster - Double Barrel Gas - Probat BRZ2 - 1987 - Stock S0749
Probat Natural Gas BRZ2 Sample Roaster Classic 1987 Model with Chaff Collector & Ducting, Exhaust Fan, & More BASICS | SPECS | CRATE & FREIGHT This 1987 80-100 gram Probat BRZ-2 used sample coffee roaster is the kind of sample roaster that reminds you why vintage Probat gear has such a loyal following: cast iron, mechanically simple, beautifully built, and still very much ready to work. A double-barrel, open-snout classic, this BRZ-2 is well-suited for green coffee evaluation, QC roasting, and production development. It is set up for both propane and natural gas, with both orifices included, along with a chaff collector and ducting from it to the roaster (see photos), an exhaust fan, and a manometer. The exhaust fan has been converted to standard 120V, plugs into a regular outlet, and runs smoothly and quietly. The fan motor was recently serviced, and the igniter system was rebuilt with a new Danfoss transformer. Seller reports the gas control valves may need adjustment/service. The roaster is fully functional as-is and can be roasted by included manometer (see picts).
