Black-Owned Business & Heritage Trail Tour

Monday through Saturday | 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM Your evening begins at India Rose Collective (49 Main Street, Vineyard Haven). We recommend arriving a little early to browse the shop. Coffee and refreshing specialty drinks are available for purchase before the tour begins. From there, you’ll visit several of the Island’s Black-owned businesses, including Lennox & Harvey and Bee Blunt. You’ll also stop at CB Stark Jewelers, the exclusive retailer of the Martha’s Vineyard African American Heritage Trail charm, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Trail. We’ll then travel by vehicle to historic Oak Bluffs, where your guide will share the stories and landmarks that have made the town a beloved destination for generations of African American families. The tour concludes on Circuit Avenue, where you’ll receive recommendations for Black-owned shops, restaurants, and galleries to continue exploring on your own. At the end of the tour, you may choose to remain in Oak Bluffs for the evening or ride back with us to Vineyard Haven.
