Responsible Person (RP) Service

If you sell cosmetic products in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), your products must have a Responsible Person (RP) established in the UK. Naturally Balmy can now act as your RP, providing ongoing regulatory support to help keep your products compliant. Our regulatory team covers: PIF and CPSR management Regulatory point of contact for authorities Support with complaints, safety concerns, and investigations Coordinating corrective action, withdrawal or recall where necessary What is a Responsible Person? Your RP is legally responsible for ensuring your product meets GB safety and compliance requirements before it goes to market, and for making that documentation available to authorities on request. Your RP address must be a genuine, physical UK location — a PO box or mail-forwarding address doesn't meet the legal requirement. Your RP's name and address must also appear on your product packaging. Appointing an RP doesn't transfer ownership of your brand, formulation, or IP. You remain fully in control of your business. What responsibilities stay with you Appointing an RP doesn't remove all your responsibilities as brand owner.
