Mandarinier Primosole – Mandarines précoces à récolte étalée
This fruit is large, about 7 cm in diameter and weighing 140–150 g. It is seedless except through cross-pollination with other citrus fruits. The skin is thin, smooth, and slightly adherent to the juicy, sweet pulp. Developed in Italy in the 1980s–1990s by the University of Catania, it is known as 'Primosolé'.
- The fruit can have multiple flowerings in warmer areas like the Mediterranean.
- It can withstand temperatures down to about -10°C.
- It arrives in France in November but in September in Sicily.
