This is a scent born from that soil: the faint smoke of sacred herbs on ritual fires drifting through ancient groves, resinous wood and dark earth wound together in something that feels less like perfume and more like memory. Guaicwood and Heart of Patchouli form the strong foundation of this fragrance - softly smoky, deep, and unhurried, with the particular heaviness of old-growth forests and offerings left at stone altars. The faintest whisper of Jasmine Sambac twines through the primordial darkness, just enough to lighten the notes.... joined by a jammy Tea Olive that brings a soft honey sweetness that gives way to Sandalwood, Olive Wood, and Teak, which anchor everything to the sun-warmed landscape of Asia Minor: dry, warm, quietly holy. Vanilla closes the composition with a softness that doesn't sweeten so much as illuminate - a last note of gold, as Midas might have intended before things went sideways.
