JCALLY JM98MAX
Dual-Chip Flagship Architecture The JCALLY JM98MAX is built around a powerful dual-chip combination: Cirrus Logic’s flagship CS43198 DAC chip, capable of decoding PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD256, paired with the SGM8262 independent operational amplifier. The decoding and amplification stages work in perfect synchronization, significantly enhancing resolution and dynamic performance. An independently powered digital supply and low-noise positive/negative voltage design effectively reduce interference, delivering a clean, immersive soundstage. High Output Power with Ultra-Low Distortion Despite its miniature size, the JM98MAX delivers a robust 195mW of output power into a 32Ω load (THD+N <1%). This ample headroom drives a wide range of earphones and headphones with authority. It achieves an ultra-low THD+N of just 0.0003% and an exceptional 110dB SINAD. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 125dB and a vanishingly low noise floor of 1.3μV, the JM98MAX ensures a pristine background and accurate reproduction of even the most delicate musical details. Three-Level EQ for Personalized Tuning A built-in three-level EQ switch puts fine-grained tonal control at your fingertips. Short-press once to cycle through modes: Balanced Original Mode (yellow indicator) delivers a neutral, comfortable tuning ideal for classical, jazz, and pop; Low Frequency Enhanced Mode (cyan) adds impactful bass punch for EDM, hip-hop, rock, and gaming; High Frequency Enhanced Mode (pink) brings out articulate vocals and crisp treble detail, perfect for female vocals, instrumental, and acoustic music. Each mode is carefully voiced to expand your listening experience without compromising signal integrity. Integrated Microphone and Inline Controls The JM98MAX supports 3.5mm CTIA-standard headsets with a microphone and inline remote. You can make high-definition calls, record voice, and control music playback—play/pause, answer/deny calls, skip tracks forward/backward, and adjust volume—directly from your headphone cable. This all-in-one functionality makes it equally suited for gaming, live streaming, and everyday communication, eliminating the need to unplug your DAC for a simple phone call. Universal Compatibility and Dual UAC Mode Featuring a USB-C port, the JM98MAX is compatible with Android and iOS phones, tablets, macOS, Windows 10 or later (UAC 2.0), and gaming consoles such as the Switch and PS5. For legacy systems or certain Huawei phones that do not support calls in UAC 2.0, a long press of the EQ button (3 seconds) switches to UAC 1.0 mode, ensuring broad device support and call functionality. Plug-and-play operation means no drivers are required on most modern platforms. Premium Craftsmanship and Ultra-Portable Design The JM98MAX showcases evolved craftsmanship with a 5-axis CNC-machined aluminum alloy body and a curved tempered glass window, offering a clear view of the internal dual-chip layout. CMP mirror polishing and anodized coating (Mohs hardness 9) provide a scratch-resistant, silk-smooth texture with an elegant iridescent finish. Weighing only 8.8 grams and measuring approximately 110mm in length, it is remarkably lightweight and portable. The included 448-core, 8-strand silver-plated copper cable with a Qilin spiral design minimizes signal loss and jitter. Visual Indicators and Operational Feedback A multi-color LED system provides real-time operational feedback. The sampling rate indicator shows red for standby, green for PCM playback, and blue for DSD playback. The EQ indicator lights up in yellow (balanced original mode), cyan (low frequency enhanced), or pink (high frequency enhanced). A long press of the EQ button under green light turns the indicator red to confirm switching to UAC 1.0 mode. As a high-power amplifier, the JM98MAX may generate slight warmth during normal use (approximately 38°C), a common characteristic of high-performance audio equipment that is fully safe for continuous operation.
