Colombia Las Mujeres

This coffee comes to us from a group of women producers who are a part of ARGCAFEE, an association of coffee producers located in the Argelia, Cauca region of Colombia that is dedicated to reshaping a region that has been dogged by illicit crop production and armed conflict. ARGCAFEE aims to address the underlying conditions that contribute to the illicit production of coca, such as lack of education, poverty, and lack of access to markets, and provides farmers with the necessary education and tools to grow coffee, effectively providing them with a viable alternative means of livelihood to growing coca. Through its Women’s Producer program, ARGCAFEE also seeks to identify and incentivize the many women who contribute to the coffee industry. Bright and lively, look for sweet notes of cocoa and red grape, spicy notes of clove, and tart notes of lime with a soft, creamy body.
