Dryopteris hondoensis (Hondo Wood Fern)

This plant belongs to the Dryopteridaceae family and is suitable for zones 5-9. It thrives in shady or partially shaded areas with well-drained, humus-rich soil and grows to about 24 inches tall. The plant has evergreen, orange-red new growth and triangular, horizontally growing fronds.
