Plastic cyclone (Higgins-Dewell)

Respirable fraction sampling heads are specifically designed to separate out the smaller dust fractions, which travel further into the human airways and are generally more harmful. The collection efficiency curve meet the ACGIH/ISO/CEN standards for a respirable curve with a median 50% cut point of 4. The cyclones work by physical separation of particles, whilst the Conical inhalable head operates by utilising size selection foams which can also give other PM fractions of particulates. Features: - Designed to separate particles out to obtain the respirable fraction (<4 microns) - Larger size particles are drawn into cyclone and are deposited into the dust pot at the bottom due to their weight - Smaller respirable size particles are drawn upwards onto the filter - Available with either 25 or 37 mm filters - Use with pump set to 2.2 to 2.5 L/min flow rate - Manufactured from anti static plastic to prevent particles from sticking to the cyclone body and hence not being weighed at the end of the run
