Biography Yamamoto Yowa (2nd) (1834-1917) Tenpo 5 (1834)-Taisho 6 (1917) A painter of the Kii Kano school. His relation to the first Yowa is unclear but is thought to be his grandson. He studied under Kano Masanobu of Kobikicho in Edo. He first used the art name Showa, later changed to Katsuwa. After the death of the first Yowa, he succeeded as the second generation. He died in 1917 at the age of 83.
