TLID0020 Shift Materials Safely Using Manual Handling Methods

It is important that workplaces recognise work health and safety concerns relating to manual handling and lifting. Business owners and management should recognise Model WHS Regulation requirements and have a duty to keep workers and workplaces safe from the risks of manual handling. Skills Force Australia offer this course (up to 5 hours) which is designed to provide participants with the general knowledge and skills to carry out safe manual handling. Training will also familiarise participants with the Manual Handling Code of Practice. The accredited course is designed to meet employers “duty of care” regarding manual handling in the workplace.
