The En Guesnes parcel sits directly adjacent to Premier Cru Meix Cadot in Rully, where south-southeast-facing slopes of clay and limestone mirror the geology of the Côte d'Or just five miles north. Vincent Dureuil farms these old vines—planted in 1950 and 1978—organically, treating each parcel with garden-level attention. Fifty percent hand-cut whole clusters ferment with indigenous yeasts in old wooden uprights, followed by 12 months in barrel (33% new) and six months in tank before unfined, unfiltered bottling. The result is a perfumed, structured Pinot Noir with dark cherry, dried rose petal, wild strawberry, and a graphite-laced finish that rewards patience.
