Installation Dimensions Confirmation At VARSTROM, we believe the first priority after determining your motor specifications is to clearly understand its installation dimensions. A clear grasp of the wheel installation logic eliminates the frustration of having to exchange products after they arrive. That’s why we’ve created an installation exploded-view diagram—to help you better comprehend the motor’s fitting requirements. Please refer to this diagram to understand the O.L.D (Over-Locknut Dimension) calculation range for this hub motor (note: O.L.D includes the anti-rotation washer), then measure the spacing on your frame accordingly. Installation Recommendation If the motor’s installation dimension (O.L.D) is slightly larger than your frame dropout, you can install the anti-rotation washer on the outside of the dropout. However, if the O.L.D is significantly larger than the dropout, VARSTROM recommends considering an alternative motor option. Friendly Tip: If your frame's rear dropout spacing is less than 142mm (e.g., 135mm), consider installing the torque arm on the outside of the rear dropout. Note: Shims are used to create or fill installation space; O.L.D measurements do not account for shim thickness. Disc/V Brake Rim Options VARSTROM offers both disc brake rims and V-brake rims for this motor. If your bicycle uses a V-brake system, you must select the V-brake rim version. Friendly Tip: If disc brake version wheels are temporarily out of stock, V-brake rim versions will also support Disc Brake System,So, VARSTROM will ship V-brake version wheels as a substitute.
