40s 50s Vintage Yellow Check Argyle Print Cotton Summer Robe Faultless Wilson Brothers VFG

A wardrobe basic - men's summer robe - with quirky charm! The collar points and print say 1940s vintage to me. I haven't seen a men's loungewear piece with an asymmetrical closure before. It is long sleeved with sewn cuffs, and has patch handwarmer pockets as well as short side slits. SIZE: Labeled size B. Measurements Inches Cm Chest 48" 122 Waist 47" 120 Bottom hem circumference 47" 120 Shoulders 18" 45.75 Length from back of neck 38.5" 98 Sleeve length 22" 56 FABRIC/COLORS: Butter yellow and white in a geometric print that reminds me of argyle. The fabric is a light weight cotton in a pinstripey weave of denser and less dense threads. TAGS: Faultless, by Wilson Brothers. Made in U.S.A. CLOSURES: Four large plastic buttons, with a small button and loop at the collar. There are self-fabric belt loops, but no belt. The chain belt shown in one photo is from my closet, and not included with purchase. CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
