Goodbye to aluminum The biggest news in the 3rd generation of Ansuz cables is the decision to eliminate aluminum – a light and cost-effective material, but unfortunately also a material that adds an “artificial” and brittle sound. Aluminum also amplifies unwanted micro-vibrations, which can merge with the audio signal and thereby create noise and blur. Instead of trying to suppress these vibrations afterward, Ansuz has simply chosen to remove the source. New material choice: Stainless steel, copper, and titanium In the 3rd generation, all aluminum components are replaced by: Stainless steel in our X3 and P3 series (entry-level) Copper in the A3, C3, and D3 series (mid-tier) Titanium in the D-TC3, D-TC Supreme, and D-TC Gold Signature series (top-of-the-line) The new materials have been carefully selected to ensure better damping of micro-vibrations and thus a cleaner, more musical reproduction at all levels.
