This Mango Basket is very finely hand-blown with a teal lip wrap. The basket expresses the timeless elements of this first series that was influenced by Native American baskets, combined with the vibrant color pallet which has come to define Chihuly's modern era work. Although the basket series is the oldest, the simple and organic forms are aesthetically the most modern. The free flowing, bulbous shape and contrasting lip color are exactly what we've come to expect form Chihuly, and this fine example epitomizes Chihuly's visionary artistry.
