Monumental geometric structures rise against softened hills and expansive fields of colour, creating a landscape that feels at once constructed and remembered. Openings, curves and intersecting planes lead the eye across the composition, shifting between distance and enclosure, solidity and atmosphere. Neither entirely real nor imagined, Traverse considers landscape as a spatial experience - a place shaped as much by memory and perception as by geography. At this scale, the painting becomes architectural in its presence, inviting the viewer not simply to observe the landscape, but to move through it.
