HANDBUILDING CERAMICS WITH NATALYA

This course offers the student an opportunity to create functional and non-functional ceramic artwork through the techniques of pinching, slab building, coiling and molding. Emphasis will be placed on sculptural aesthetic and surface techniques. Supplies: Basic tool kit (can be found in most craft/hobby store), sponge, drycleaning plastic or other thin wrap, old sheet scrap, stamps or other textural materials, metal ribs (one with teeth is helpful).
