Edited by noted musical scholar Alfred Dörffel, the volume splits its master compositions into two structural tracks: Volume I features historic Latin choral texts (Bd. I Lateinische Texte), while Volume II compiles German choral texts (Bd. II Deutsche Texte). The vocal, expression, and performance notations throughout the multi-part scores were painstakingly structured by famed choral conductor Carl Riedel.
