Postcard: ICA | Derrick Adams Facade Commission

Derrick Adams' work extends beyond the galleries with the museum’s first major facade commission—a monumental installation wrapping the exterior of the ICA building. The commission offers Adams’s bold reimagining of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) test pattern, also known as television color bars. The facade commission will be on view from mid-April 2026 through April 2027.
