The Double Take Dress in Red Polka on Green Cotton

Based on our beloved Everything Dress, this version keeps the effortless wearability you adore — but adds a little extra drama, movement, and play. It’s still fully reversible, so you can flip it depending on your mood. Both sides now feature a longer bodice for a beautifully balanced silhouette, with one side finished in a soft V-neck. Two distinct looks. One hardworking dress. Opulent gathers fall from the bodice into a full, flowing skirt — now with additional gathered side panels for even more volume and swing. It moves when you move. It swishes. It makes an entrance without trying too hard. And because options are everything: - Add velvet ribbon loops and/or ties at the waist let you cinch it in or wear it loose - If you select the above, a hidden loop inside allows you to gather the fabric up to reveal whatever you wear beneath (pictured here over a red skirt!) - everyday to party in an instant! - Add a drawstring to the hem to swap between a long skirt and mini with a bubble hem (seen in check fabric here) This is the dress you build outfits around. Layer it over skirts. Wear it solo with boots. Add ribbons and change the shape entirely. Made in block printed red polka on Indian cotton - dyed to order from the cream to a soft olive green. This 100% cotton is hand dyed. For the couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will fix the dye to prevent it from running. As our Indian cloth is handmade, they are susceptible to irregularities in the weave or print, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws. PLEASE NOTE: every dress is cut and hemmed to 35" from just under the bust - as seen on the models. If you require a shorter cut, please make a note at checkout of the length you require. FIT CHECK As this garment is a naturally oversized fit, you should pay most attention to the shoulder to waist measurement (which refers to the length of the longer side bodice), as this will determine the correct aesthetic you desire. Refer to our size guide tab for a rough size, but note that the garment itself will drape to fit so you can size up or down. For example, if you are tall or have a larger bust you could easily size up to ensure the waist sits lower on your body, and vice versa. Emma and I wear the S and Becky wears the XL in the madras cotton. Hannah wears the 4XL in berry but could easily size down for the bodice to hit closer to her true waist.
