ONC206
ONC206 is a second-generation imipridone widely used in cancer and mitochondrial biology research. It acts as a potent agonist of the mitochondrial caseinolytic protease P (ClpP), leading to disruption of mitochondrial proteostasis, impairment of oxidative phosphorylation and induction of metabolic stress in tumor cells. ONC206 has demonstrated potent antitumor activity in a variety of preclinical cancer models and is employed to investigate mitochondrial metabolism, apoptosis, integrated stress response signaling and the therapeutic potential of ClpP activation in oncology. It has also been described as a low-potency dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) antagonist.
