Donna Lucilla ROMA White, 2024

Charred lemon, citrus pith, Red Delicious apple, fresh-squeezed orange, whiff of lemongrass. Palate is charming with a saline-esque quality; easy yet giving, plump yet delicate texture with notes of citrus. A blend of indigenous grapes grown in the volcanic soils surrounding Rome, Malvasia Puntinata and Bombino. The Roma DOC denomination was established in 2011 to revive the capital’s millennia-old wine tradition through expressive terroir and native grapes. The Donna Lucilla wines are made by winemaker Valerio Fiorelli for the importer Empson to highlight the unique terroir and long history of winemaking in the region. Roma DOC | Italy
