About the Kids Sun Lounge The Kids Sun Lounge is a scaled-down take on a classic outdoor lounger, built from solid timber with sturdy joinery. Wide armrests and a low, stable frame make it comfortable and easy for kids to climb in and out of independently. The lounge arrives with a temporary water-based stain for transport and storage protection only — it is not a permanent finish. Painting with a quality primer and exterior paint is required for long-term protection from the elements. The cushion is available in five colours — White, Baby Pink, Baby Blue, Sage, and Dark Grey — to suit your outdoor styling. Recommended process: Paint before assembly for easiest application and full coverage of all surfaces. Apply a minimum of 2 coats of Dulux 1 Step Prep primer, sealer & undercoat, followed by a minimum of 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield exterior paint. Cushion Colour & Fading Notes As with any outdoor fabric, prolonged sun exposure can cause natural fading or gradual colour variation over time — this is a normal characteristic of outdoor cushions and not a defect. To help the fabric last, bring cushions indoors or store under cover when not in use, especially during periods of intense sun. Safety & Supervision Adult supervision: Adult supervision is recommended when children are using the lounge, particularly for younger children who may not be aware of potential hazards. Placement: Place on a flat, level, stable surface. Avoid positioning on uneven ground or near pool edges where the lounge could tip. Maintenance: Check and tighten all screws and fittings periodically.
