Fabric on Papier-mâché Vase 01

This sculptural work reflects Vāhe’s philosophy, *In Circles, We Grow*, which explores life as a circular rather than linear journey. We often return to familiar places, emotions and memories, yet each return finds us a little changed. The work captures this quiet rhythm of coming back, with its circular form becoming a reflection of continuity, change and the different versions of ourselves that emerge along the way. Rooted in this shared gesture, the work explores materiality and expression through a combination of natural binders, papier-mâché, fabric and brass. Each element is shaped using indigenous crafting methods synonymous with Vāhe’s practice, giving the piece a tactile and distinctive character.
