Taranto - Silk Pocket Square - Blue
This design is reworked from a sidewall pattern housed in the Smithsonian, likely from the Arts and Crafts era. I love the rounded floral shapes and I made it in many shades of blue so it pairs with just about everything: navy, grey, camel, denim. I named it Taranto, after the seaside city in southern Italy. It felt right—historic, a little off the beaten path, and full of beauty.A bit of early American design history, made with Italian craftsmanship—and reworked into something easy to wear every day. Details Large size: Approx. 17.5 x 17.5" (45 x 45cm). This is the correct size to allow for many folding styles and it will not slide down into your pocket. 100% silk twill: A soft, silky fabric traditionally used in men's tailoring. Characterized by a diagonal weave which makes it very durable. We use 14 momme silk, a heavier weight silk than many because it is supple enough to hold its shape no matter how you fold it. Hand-rolled hems: For the ultimate in luxury and sophistication, our hems are hand-sewn. Limited edition: We make these in small quantities, so you know your pocket square is truly one-of-a-kind. Pure luxury, naturally dyed: We use non-toxic vegetable dyes that preserve the silk's softness, free from harmful chemicals that can irritate your skin (and is better for the planet!) Affordable luxury: We bring these directly from the people who make them to you. There are no massive markups and middlemen, which keeps our prices remarkably reasonable. 100% Handmade in Italy: Printed, cut and sewn along the shores of Lake Como.
