There is no coating to wear through. The texture is micro-etched into the glass itself, so the surface character stays as it was on day one. How fast is it? Neutral-to-slippery rather than outright fast. Start-and-stop resistance is consistent,m so the pad gives you speed without removing the braking point - and the included dot feet let you shift the balance further if you want. Can the metal badge come loose? No. The badge is mounted through a hold drilled fully through the glass and hand-set, rather than glued to the surface. It will not loosen under normal use. There are faint marks on the silicone base - is that a defect? No. Minor flow marks are a normal by-product of the moulding process for the high-gloss silicone base and have no effect on grip or performance.
