I'd love to share my perspective behind this design. ________________________________________ WHY YOU'LL REACH FOR IT Diana is one of three handmade chain necklaces I created from satin gold-plated links in different shapes—diamond, round, and oval. I wanted to make my own interpretation of the chunky chain choker I've been seeing everywhere, and Diana quickly became the boldest of the three. Those oversized diamond-shaped links give her a strong geometric presence that makes her just as interesting worn alone as layered with beads. The diamond-shaped links are what give Diana her personality. Each satin gold-plated connector is joined by hand, creating a chain that feels bold and graphic without becoming heavy-looking. Of the three necklaces in this little trilogy, Diana makes the strongest statement. I love the scale of those diamonds and the way their angular shapes immediately catch the eye. I chose our boldest toggle to finish the necklace. Its generous scale balances the larger links beautifully, while the matching satin gold finish keeps the entire design wonderfully cohesive. At 17 inches, Diana sits right where I wanted her at the neckline. I especially love a shorter beaded necklace nestled just above her—the contrast between colorful, organic beads and those clean geometric links makes both necklaces more interesting.
