Wine Basics: A Beginner's Guide Join Alessandra Esteves, Director of Wine Education at Florida Wine Academy, on Thursday, August 20, for an introduction to the fascinating world of wine. This class is designed for beginners who want to feel more confident choosing, tasting, and ordering wine. You will learn how to taste wine, understand the main wine styles, recognize important grape varieties, read a wine label, and explore basic food and wine pairing principles. We will taste six classic wines from around the world: Cava from Spain Sancerre from France Chardonnay from Australia Pinot Noir from Oregon Malbec from Argentina Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from Bordeaux At the end of the class, each participant will receive a Certificate of Participation from Florida Wine Academy.
