Riverview

I've been teaching and painting at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge. That venue allows us to go right down to the water. I'm especially fond of this rendering: its slice of life and energy. There is a hush of unspoken detail. The emphasis is on contrast and the feel of the day. Simplicity. This painting makes me happy in the way I felt when I was painting it.
