Zig-Zag Chair (Gerrit Thomas Rietveld for Cassina)
The iconic Zig-Zag chair, designed by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld between 1920 and 1949, and produced by Cassina in elm wood with dovetail (tine) joinery connecting its four flat, angled planes. Constructed without any legs or braces, the chair's radically minimal "Z" silhouette — comprising a single continuous back, seat, and support — was a groundbreaking exercise in structural and formal reduction, and remains one of the defining icons of De Stijl design. This example carries an attribution mark and is in very good condition, with light wear and a natural patina consistent with age and use.
