1887-S Queen Victoria Jubilee Head Gold Sovereign - DISH S1 - Extremely Rare S1 Hooked ‘J’ in J.E.B. in Arc (DISH.S1) First Legend (head) type - Extremely Rare Queen's veiled head facing left, wearing the small crown, Garter Riband and Star, and the Albert Order. On the six original reverse dies supplied to the Sydney Mint in 1887, the engraver's initials 'J.E.B.' (Joseph Edgar Boehm) were individually hand-punched into each die, making all six known die varieties very rare. The reverse depicts St George mounted with sword attacking the dragon. The date appears below the exergue line, with the small letters 'B.P.' to the right.
