Dynamite Crape Myrtle Tree

Lagerstroemia indica 'Dynamite' is one of the truest red crape myrtles you can grow, exploding with cherry-red blooms from early summer well into fall. Bred for toughness, it resists powdery mildew and shrugs off heat and drought once established. New spring foliage emerges crimson, matures to deep green through summer, then turns brilliant orange-red in autumn. Train it into a single-trunk tree or grow it multi-trunk as a flowering specimen, screen, or street tree. Like all crape myrtles, Dynamite is deciduous, dropping its leaves in winter to show off smooth, exfoliating cinnamon bark for year-round interest. Fast growing and low maintenance, it reaches 15-20 ft. tall and 10-15 ft. wide, making it a bold, long-blooming anchor for full-sun landscapes.
