Lady Mary Waistcoat (Menzies)

Made with the striking and distinctive Menzies tartan, historically this tartan appears to have been the tartan of the Menzies families of the South West Scottish borders - Durisdeer and Enouch. This is said to have come from their shield granted in 1370! A fitted bodice is seamlessly tailored to combine with a luxurious peplum, giving this updated, timeless classic waistcoat a regimental yet feminine silhouette. Purposefully tailored to allow being admired from every angle - especially as the body moves. The hips are softened and flattered. The waist was gently pinched and emphasised. The back is styled to appear to lengthen the female form. A Victorian-era doublet-style structure advantages the bust. Distinguished equestrian buttons in Old Gunmetal finish.
