8531 Studer A807 Professional Reel-to-Reel Tape Recorder — Excellent Condition | Fully Serviced and Checked by Andrew The Studer A807 is a professional broadcast and studio-grade reel-to-reel tape recorder from the respected Swiss manufacturer Studer, built to the exacting standards expected of equipment destined for radio, television, and recording studio use. Housed in a highly stable die-cast aluminium alloy chassis, the A807 uses a Hall-commutated brushless DC capstan motor with a capacitive tacho sensor for precise, stable tape speed and rapid acceleration and deceleration, alongside two independently controlled AC spooling motors with photoelectric tacho sensors for gentle, well-tensioned tape handling. Microprocessor control provides a comprehensive feature set including locator functions, library wind, tape dump, reverse play, and full RS232 remote control capability.
