Roasting Service - Profile Development

At Silver Oak, we take pride in the precision, quality, and consistency of our roasting. To achieve this, every new green coffee requires a dedicated roast profile. ● Process: Each bean typically requires three development roasts (occasionally up to five). Customers provide the green beans for this process. The cost of the roasts is included in this cost. ● Testing: Includes density and moisture analysis, followed by colour analysis and colour sorting post-roast. ● Cupping: Every roast is cupped and evaluated to refine the profile to its best possible expression. ● Customer Involvement: You’re invited to join us at the roastery for cuppings — a session takes about 1.5 hours. One cupping session (covering all your development roasts) is included in the profile development cost. ● Outcome: The roasted batches from profile development are yours to keep — you may choose to have them packaged or blended for sale. ● Intellectual Property: the roast profile produced is the intellectual property of Silver Oak Coffee Ltd.
