Jean Foillard Beaujolais Villages 2024

Gamay from a founding member of the Gang of Four, the quartet who, alongside Marcel Lapierre, Guy Breton and Jean-Paul Thévenet, sparked the natural wine movement in 1980s Beaujolais. This bottling draws on parcels scattered across Villié-Morgon, Lancié, Saint-Amour and Saint-Étienne-la-Varenne, all organically farmed and vinified with a light touch. Flavors of red cherry, cranberry and fresh red berries, laced with violet and a peppery spice. Juicy and mouthwatering, low in alcohol, with a silky finish that begs for a second glass. Light-bodied and effortlessly drinkable, best served with a slight chill.
