Nano was part of the first team squad of FC Barcelona this season. He played one match in the Champions League, against AIK Solna on 27 October 1999. Barcelona played at home in their home kit. He remained with Barcelona until 2003, mainly playing for Barcelona B, before joining Atlético Madrid (2003–2005), with a loan spell at Getafe (2005–2006), followed by Cádiz (2006–2008), Racing de Ferrol (2008–2009), Numancia (2009–2012), Osasuna (2012–2013), Alavés (2013–2014) and Racing de Ferrol again (2015–2018).
