Fafnir the dragon in 2020, Fenrir the wolf in 2022, Gullinbursti the golden boar in 2025 — each one a different force of Norse myth cast in silver. Sleipnir is the last of the four, and arguably the most technically ambitious: his eight legs alone demanded a composition that had to work across two faces of one coin without ever losing the sense of a single animal in full gallop. The obverse captures Sleipnir's head and the front half of his body, four legs planted with the tension of a horse about to break into a run. The reverse completes him — the remaining legs, the sweep of the tail, the rear half caught mid-gallop — so that obverse and reverse read as one continuous creature rather than two separate designs. The Germania Mint double-headed eagle sits quietly in the background of both, as it has on every coin in the series. Struck in 1 oz of 999.9 fine silver at a mintage of 25,000, designed by Natalia Danysz, and finished to Brilliant Uncirculated quality.
