Land Rover Defender Stainless Steel Wheel Carrier: Description: Our Classic Defender Wheel Carrier is made from a combination of 3 & 4mm Stainless Steel. We have designed additional internal & external weight spreader plates & shock absorbing gaskets. Compared to the original Land Rover Defender Spare Wheel Carrier, our Defender Wheel Carrier is twice as strong, has increased weight distribution & is substantially braced on the inside of the door. Our triple rubber gasket design ensures there are no points of metal on metal contact with the rear door & creates a watertight seal around the mounting holes. This stops any damage to the bodywork paint. Defender wheel carriers are known to rattle. Rubber gaskets additionally, act as shock absorbers dramatically reducing door shake & rattle.
