Antique German Herbena Bisque Porcelain Cat Trinket Box

A sculpted in soft ivory-white bisque porcelain, the kitten features expressive eyes, pointed ears, delicately modeled paws, and an extended tail. The removable lid depicts the kitten lounging on draped fabric, while the lower portion resembles a traditional wicker basket with intricate basketweave detailing. The matte, unglazed porcelain finish highlights the delicate sculptural details and gives this delightful piece a timeless elegance. The underside bears a cursive mark that appears to read “Herbena,” associated with Hermann Behne of Berlin, Germany, an early 20th-century porcelain decorator. It measures 3½"W x 3"H Shipping rates apply to street addresses within the contiguous United States only. If you are located outside this region, please contact me for a shipping quote.
